Greetings future reporters! My name is Jay Jackson. When I founded the Los Angeles Reporters Clinic I had no idea there would be hundreds of my students living their dream as news reporters, anchors, and hosts.
Like you, they had a lot of quesitons before signing up for this program. Mainly, is it worth it? Well, some of those students are now making more than $1 million dollars a year - ask them if it's worth it.
So, if you have questions, please feel free to list them in the box next to this column. I'll try to answer them as soon as possible.
In the meantime, keep shooting for your dream whether you choose LARC or not to make your tape.
There are lots of jobs out there. You just need the right tool to get one of them. At LARC, we believe we give you the best chance of reaching the goal of becoming a broadcast journalist.
